Buoyancy Challenge - February 2015

All divers that came out had a great time. We played with some lift bags and SMBs, swam thru some hoops, practiced some kicks and even did a little free diving. Some scuba divers even chose to become scuba walkers! Congrats to Henry and Michelle who went home with $50 gift cards to Rockfish Divers. Photo's below were taken by one of our Instructors - Santiago Gutierrez Manzo. Thank-you for the awesome pics Santiago!

Date: Tuesday February 17th @ 6:45pm
Meeting Place: McKinnon Gym Pool Deck
Cost: minimum $10 donation - all proceeds go to "Help Fill a Dream for Sick Kids"
Rentals: minimum $5 donation for gear rental - al
l proceeds go to "Help Fill a Dream for Sick Kids"
UVic Scuba will be hosting a buoyancy challenge as part of Rockfish Diver's "Dive Challenge 2015." Bust out your best pair of fins and practice your back kick in preparation for a night of fun underwater aerobics. Please note, this will be different than past buoyancy events in that there will be minimal instruction. Hoops and mirrors will be set-up along with a few other surprises. Whether you are looking for a hardcore competition and bragging rights to go with it, or just looking for a casual underwater swim, you will have a good time!

In the spirit of supporting local charities we have picked Help Fill a Dream for Sick Kids to receive the proceeds of the event.
